- Piña Colada
- 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- ½ cup cream of coconut
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 ounces white rum optional
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice optional
- Garnish
- Pineapple wedges
- Maraschino cherries
- Toasted coconut flakes
- Fresh mint leaves optional
- Cocktail umbrellas optional
Add the frozen pineapple, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, ice cubes, white rum (if using), and lime juice to a high-speed blender.
Blend on high speed for 30–60 seconds until thick, creamy, and completely smooth.
If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of pineapple juice. If it's too thin, blend in a few more frozen pineapple chunks or ice cubes.
Pour the Piña Colada into chilled hurricane glasses.
Garnish with pineapple wedges, maraschino cherries, toasted coconut, fresh mint, or cocktail umbrellas.
Serve immediately while cold and frosty.
- Use cream of coconut, not coconut milk, for the authentic creamy texture.
- Frozen pineapple creates the thickest, smoothest drink.
- Chill the serving glasses before pouring for a refreshing presentation.
- For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the rum.
- Add extra frozen pineapple instead of ice for a richer flavor without dilution.
