Ingredients

  • 20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook tortellini according to package directions; drain.
  • Brown ground beef with onion, then stir in garlic.
  • Add marinara sauce and seasonings; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir cooked tortellini into the meat sauce.
  • Transfer to the baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the tortellini before baking.
  • Freshly shredded mozzarella melts best.
